Our prizes

When we began breeding, the pumi breed was not widely known in Hungary (neither in the world of course). There was only one considarable kennel, it was the Kutyavári (means dog castle) kennel. We chose a male dog from this kennel for the daughter of Mocskos Móka. It was Kutyavári Emír Bitang and I can say, world-famous pumis were born in this litter: Mocskos Angyal (Angel) and Mocskos Ancsa.

Mocskos Angyal was the first pumi ever to become International Champion. He was proceeded shortly after by his sister, Mocskos Ancsa to win the title.

Mocskos Angyal became really popular after the Finnish breeders brought him into fashion by putting his portrait onto everything: T-shirts, cups, socks etc. The portrait of Mocskos Angyal was the emblem of the World Dog Show in Budapest, 1994.

By pairing our bitches with other male dogs from Kutyavári kennel, further International Champion and world winner pumis were born, who achieved the titles partly here in Hungary, partly abroad: In Finland, in Germany.

On the World Dog Show in Innsbruck 1976, our dogs won second place in the breeding group category. In this category, a group of four dogs compete, who are from the same kennel but from different litters. It is the homogeneous appearance, carriage, behaviour and the characteristic features of the breed which are examined. In the breeding history of pumis this was the first such title and as far as I know, nobody has surpassed it so far.

These were only a few of the several prizes the Mocskos kennel won, as there were shows, where six-seves Mocskos dogs were participated at the same time. But besides the prizes there are some other things we are proud of ...
